Why did I name it Candid?

Because in an industry full of buzzwords and jargon, I’ve always believed in being straightforward and honest.

I’m a Social Media Strategist based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, UK.

With 10 years of experience, I’ve been helping brands stand out and thrive on social media.

Over the years, I’ve worked across a wide range of industries, including FMCG, fashion, finance, sports, TV, hospitality, recruitment, and education.

A Mum to two small humans

I’m lucky enough to call myself a Mum to two little ‘uns. I have a boy and a girl, both under the age of 5. They keep me on my toes and I couldn’t love them more.

A Mum to a small Boston Terrier

No, she’s not a Frenchie. She’s a Boston Terrier and frankly I think she’s got her priorities in life straight: eat lots, sunbathe when you can and if the sun isn’t out, hide under the thickest duvet you can find.

I love a quiz

My fave TV show is Only Connect, and going on a TV quiz is on my bucket list. I’d probably aim for Pointless or the 1% Club.

My screen time is obscene

It goes hand-in-hand with the job, but it’s fair to say I’m chronically online.

My career has given me some pretty cool opportunities

I’ve walked around a Formula E paddock. I got a signed polaroid with Sean Williamson (that’s Barry from Eastenders). And I’ve run a livestream from Ferne McCann’s house (she used to be in TOWIE).

Before going freelance I spent my career working in advertising and PR agencies. This gave me exposure to many brands across many industries.

  • I undertook launching Starbuck’s first Italian branch - the design-lead Roastery in Milan. This project required developing an on-brand look and feel, tone of voice and content creation to generate a real buzz around the store opening.

  • To celebrate Back To School I hosted an Instagram Live conversation between TOWIE’s Ferne McCann and Heart DJ Zoe Hardman to discuss all their tips and tricks to help parents in this busy time. From school uniforms to snack hacks, Babybel positioned itself as a helpful and delicious snack for kids.

  • Creating content remotely and at Formula E races to ignite passion in a fandom. We set drivers off-grid challenges to test their competitiveness, while hitting home the environmental messaging behind Formula E through video content.
